Abdallah Ondash secures second ONE Championship win

Lebanon’s Abdallah Ondash picked up his second win in ONE Championship with a hard fought split decision win at ONE Friday Fights 33.
Having won his first outing in stunning fashion, he stopped his opponent with one second left on the clock, this Muay Thai encounter with Palangboon Wor Santai was equally close.
After three rounds of back and forth action it was 22-year-old Ondash, a product of the famous Tiger Muay Thai gym in Bangkok, who got the nod from two of the three judges.
Palangboon impressed on his debut, particularly with his leg kicks, which were finding a home with regularity – chopping Ondash and clearly causing damage.
However, the Beirut native was able to use his reach advantage well throughout, picking his shots and regularly keeping his opponent at bay.
The win moves Ondash to 2-0 in his ONE career, and 18-1 overall in professional Muay Thai.
There was not such good news at the Lumpinee Stadium for fellow MENA standout Ayad Albadr.
The Iraqi slipped to a unanimous decision loss to Teeyai PK Saenchai in what was a ferocious contest with neither man giving an inch.
In the night’s main event, Russia’s Alexey Balyko defeated PK Saenchai via unanimous decision – the highlight being a picture-perfect left hook which dropped the Thai fighter to the canvas, while Watcharaphon Singha Mawynn picked up a unanimous decision win over Apiwat Sor Somnuk.
